What is the DHI method?
DHI stands for Direct Hair Implantation. In contrast to the FUE and FUT methods, no incisions or stitches are made with the DHI method. This minimizes damage to the scalp. Using the DHI Micropunch, transplantation and microchannel opening are performed simultaneously. This allows precise use of the depth, direction and angle of the transplanted hair follicles.

Before every hair transplant, we conduct a consultation with our patients and assess the initial situation and determine the donor area. On the day of the DHI treatment: At the beginning of the treatment, the donor hair is trimmed. The affected donor and recipient areas are anesthetized locally so that the patient does not experience any pain during the treatment.
The hair follicles are now removed from the donor area with the micrometer, making sure that the follicles are centered, i.e. taken in the direction of growth of the individual hair. The hair follicle and the tissue surrounding it are exposed in a cylinder shape from the fixed tissue and then removed individually from the donor area using micro-tweezers. These extracted hair follicles are then implanted directly into the recipient area with the help of the DHI micro punch (diameter 1 mm), without having to make any incisions beforehand. Here again the placement of the grafts taking into account the direction, depth and angle is essential to achieve a natural hairline and natural looking result.
